PGA of Canada, Class A Head Professional

Dennis Kelly first learned to play golf at Lakewood Golf Club at just 16 years old. Dennis turned Pro in 1974 at the young age of 18. He became a Class “A” CPGA Head Professional in 1978 while working at Tillsonburg Golf Club. From 1984 to 1987, he worked at Fox Glen Golf Club. He spent four more years as the Head Professional in Brockville, Ontario, at Cedar Valley Golf Club (1997-2000). Over the course of his career, Dennis worked for 20 years at Lakewood Golf Club.

In 2001, Dennis Kelly returned to Essex County and was employed as the Head Professional at Tilbury Golf Club for 15 years. Finally, returning to Fox Glen Golf Club in 2016, where he is currently in his 47th season in the golf industry. He has been a Canadian PGA member for 45 years and a Class “A” Head Professional for 41 years.

Dennis is proud to have taught as many as 220 junior golfers in a single golf season. Over the course of his 45 years, Dennis has taught the game to thousands of junior golfers, many of which have become golf professionals and have had the opportunity to play at the highest level on professional golf tours.

Maintenance Superintendent

Mark Ives grew up in Essex County and started cutting grass at the age of 15. He worked for local landscape companies for approximately six years. He started his golf course career in 1986 in Maintenance at Fox Glen and became Golf Course Superintendent in 1991.

After 15 years running his own business and working for another local golf course, he returned to Fox Glen in 2017 as Golf Course Superintendent. During his first season he made many cosmetic changes to the course and looks forward to continuing to improve the course conditions. He loves to golf so his passion for making the course look and feel great is top of his priority list.
